Concours d’Elegance Hermes Scarf – 2009 Kermit Oliver – finally issued after an unsuccessful launch in 2002 – fantastic design with the usual K.O. detail – unworn pristine condition – noir, bouton or, marron – box available. Kermit Oliver: https://www.texasmonthly.com/articles/portrait-of-the-artist-as-a-postman/ It’s All Goode specializes in vintage Hermès treasures, primarily Hermès silk scarves and Hermès cashmere shawls. Many of our Hermès scarves and shawls are in unworn, pristine condition. All items are consigned to It’s All Goode or come from my own collection. It’s All Goode does not shop Hermès sales or the internet for marked-up resale of vintage Hermès scarves. Click here to request access to the It’s-All-Goode Vintage Hermes Scarf Database. The scarf or carre (square) was introduced in 1937 featuring “Jeu des Omnibus et Dames Blanches.” The company’s scarf designers spend years creating new print patterns that are individually screen-printed. Designers can choose from over 70,000 different colors. When production started a dedicated factory was established in Lyon, France, the same year that Hermès celebrated its 100th anniversary. Today’s Hermès carrés measure 90 cm × 90 cm, weigh approx. 65 grams and are woven from the silk of 250 mulberry moth cocoons. All hems are hand-stitched. Motifs are wide-ranging. Since 1937, Hermès has produced over 2,000 unique designs.
